My s-10 is a 1989\ 2.5 eng. Too much fuel going into the throttle body.

Dumping into the cylinders. I replaced map, pressure regulator, changed the injector.

Possible coolant temperature sensor reading is way lower than actual ambient temp. and flooding engine ... Also IF the engine will start and run (rough) .. Try 'tapping' EGR valve (not pounding) with small hammer or similar tool as partially stuck open EGR valve will mimic engine flooding... Both components can be tested!
