My new battery went dead after two weeks of non use. Nothing electricle was left on.

My new battery went dead after two weeks of non use. This is first time this car was not in use for about two weeks. The battery is new and no electrical items were left on.

something is draing the battery most likely.try this and youll find the drain.youll need a digital multimeter and set it to 12 volts dc.unhook the negative battery terminal then youll need a wire with alligator clips on both ends.cut the wire in half and buy a 1ohm 10 watt resistor at radio shack for about 3 bucks.connect both ends of the resistor to the wire you cut in half then place one gator clip on the neg battery post and the other gator clip on the neg battery terminal.now connect the multimet to the exposed wires on the resistor.a 35-45 milli volt draw is ok if its reading say 1.3 volts then start pulling fuses and keep looking at the multimeter till it drops.thats were youll find the drain.
