i replaced the battery to my remote to unlock the doors and the transmittor still does not work; even tho they tested it at the battery store and said it is ok. they then said it needs reprogrammed but the manuel said you don't have to reprogram it after replacing the battery.tried to reprogram it anyway and it still does not work.

Typically you do not need to reprogram a transmitter after replacing the battery.

It is possible that one of the battery terminals became damaged or dislodged when separating the halves of the transmitter. Perhaps open it back up, verify the battery is flipped in the right direction, and check the terminals to make sure they are free of debris and also attached to their appropriate circuits.
