My 99 dodge ram 1500 4x4 shifting problems

(1999 Dodge Ram 1500)
My 99 dodge ram 1500 sport 4x4 wont shift out of first. It first started fluctuating a little, but the next thing that happened it was not shifting out of first.changed fluid, and filter, then the output speed sensor.Still the same problem.had autozone diagnostic, and it read govoner pressure sensor.changed that, and still the same. Then changed the TPS,and still no change.A few times it takes off a little sluggish, but then will change gear. What else could it be?

I have tried to reset pcm,but no change. Here is everything i have tried. I have installed new govenor pressure sensor, and the sensor switch.i have just receantly adjusted the bands.they were really loose.i adjusted them to about 1/8th inch slack.this is what i was told to do.

Also i have replace TPS,and output speed sensor on transmission.also adjusted TV cable. But not sure where to adjust to.wich direction to do i go?.towards the front of truck,or back to fire wall?.

I have noticed one time i start truck, and tack of it is stuck in first gear, then next time i drive,it takes off sluggish, i think in second gear, but will shift thru rest of gears.

sorry for telling things twice.just making sure i covered everything.

Do you think it just could be a pcm issue, maybe i need a new one?.or maybe a valve body issue. Please help

Hi.thank you for the info.I know that i did not do it perfectly.but i dont have a torque wrench that works any more.

There was no difference the way it shifted before i adjusted,or after.Could it be anything else.I will adjust it properly when i get a chance.

can you give me advice on the TV cable adjustment?. thanks for the info

Hi. I have fixed my problem.but it was something i would have never known. I knew i had a 02 sensor problem, but i had ignored it. I had talked with a freind of mine, and he told me to check with this transmission place his friend works at.so i contacted him. the first thing he told me to check for a fault in the 02 sensor. he told me dodges share the volts of the sensor with the transmission.I put in a new sensor, and now it shifts perfectly. Of course i spend about $400 before hand changing out sensors, and fluid changes,filter,ect... thanks for any help you gave me.i should be good for a while.thanks
