My 2006 Acrua TL , Automatic shift lever is hard to move . Worked fine yesterday

Drove my car yesterday, car work fine. This morning I went to drive it and tried to shift it in gear and the gear shift lever on my automatic transmission was hard to move into gear . What's causing that problem and is it a easy fix?
What seems to make the problem better or worse? Forcing it into gear

Usually any shift lever binding is caused by foreign material being introduced into the shift assembly - such as soda or another fluid or debris. Beyond this, inspecting the shift linkage from the shift lever to the transmission assembly would be the next step.
