MY VAN SAT THRU THE COLD WEATHER RECENTLY AND NOT THE TRANSMISSION DOESN'T SHIFT CORRECTLY. IT SHOWS A po732 CODE. COULD A DEFECTIVE ENGINE HEAT SENSOR CAUSE THIS?

Probably not but start by checking the transmission fluid. A low fluid level could cause this code.

I did that and the transmission fluid is good.
Your code is transmission related incorrect gear ratio there are two sensors input and output sensors and if one of them is misbehaving this code will sometimes present itself further testing would be required to give you the exact diagnosis feel free to call us for a no-charge estimate at 860-265-3630 if we can be of further assistance to you
