MORE THAN ONE IGNITION ON KEY RING WILL NOT CRANK

WE HAD A 2006 CHEVY COBALT THAT HAD 3 IGNITION KEYS ON THE SAME KEY RING AND WOULD NOT NOT CRANK. AFTER TAKING ONLY ONE KEY AT A TIME TO TRY...IT WOULD CRANK AND START.WHY IS THIS?

One of the keys must have a bad chip on it and its telling the ignition not to start, So keep them separated and determine which key is bad and just use the other two
