On December 5, 2011, Mercury recalled 128,616 Ford Fusion. Ford is recalling certain model year 2010-2011 ford fusion and mercury milan vehicles equipped with 17 inch steel wheels and built from april 1, 2009, through april 30, 2009, and from december 1, 2009, through november 13, 2010. the wheel studs may fracture, potentially causing a wheel to separate.

On vehicles equipped with 17-inch steel wheels, one or more of the wheel studs may break. A vibration could develop and the wheel could separate from the vehicle.

Ford will notify owners of affected vehicles beginning January 24, 2012. If you experience a broken wheel stud or a vibration while driving, or you don't receive notification and you feel you should have, please contact your dealer. It's helpful to have your vehicle identification number (VIN) when you call.

In the event of a severe rear impact, a crack may develop at the fuel filler neck connection to the fuel tank. This could result in a fuel leak or illumination of the Check Engine Light. A fuel leak always increases the risk of a fire.

This should be considered a medium priority recall; this would change to high if the vehicle has been involved in a rear end crash. Please contact your Ford dealer. Ford is recalling certain model year 2010 fusion, explorer, explorer sport trac, and mercury milan and mountaineer vehicles manufactured between december 15, 2009 through february 3, 2010 equipped with front seat manual recliners. these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 202, "head restraint." the recliner gear plate teeth may be out of dimension specification which could result in limited pawl to gear plate tooth engagement.

Ford is recalling 225,000 my 1992-2003 econoline, my 1993-1995 taurus sho, my 1992-1998 crown victoria, my 1993 bronco, f-series, my 1995-1997 f-series super duty stripped chassis, my 1992-1998 mercury grand marquis, and my 1992-1995 lincoln town car vehicles. the affected vehicles were previously repaired using a wiring harness that is not compatible with the vehicle circuit polarity.
