This is a 5 speed automatic transmission,first 4 gears mechanical with the 5th (OD) gear electronically engaged.Fluid is up and looks great.Tested for codes and have none.Tested micro switch in shift lever (a well known problem),tested good.Checked and cleaned all fuses and cleaned their fuse box contacts.Climbed underneath and did not find any hanging wires.
When you spray gas directly into the carb, it will keep running. there is no pressure there.
What do you suggest I do. Brought it to Mercedes dealership. They could not figure it out. Let the car sit for a while starts right up. Afraid to use the car if I have to shut engin. HELP
The car also has hard start problems and spongy brakes.The stalling problem occurs most at high speed when decelerating.The car runs fine otherwise.It does not leak oil or any other fluids.
Engine starts then shuts off is this a serious problem and what's the cause
It's coming from underneath, between the first and second pipe on the rear 3 piece section,on the engine side. I've had some recent sudden and intermittent overheating problems. Sometimes car runs great but other times it acts like the air/ fuel mixture is off so it is very sluggish on initial acceleration. Sometimes coolant light comes on intermittently when it's not even overheating or losing any coolant?? New plugs, wires, distributor, rotor, radiator reservoir cap, gas cap, air filter, and ??? 92 300sl-24 auto.
seems to not get antenna anymore ..any ideas
My vehicle wasn't moving after a couple months.of sitting so I've changed out the filter and fluid and still it wants to go but doesn't at all . Any advise
the ac is charged but the blower motor does not work in any position

I HAVE A 1992 MERCEDES BENZ 300SL THATS been sitting for about 7months now and i still have yet to drive it. i purchased this vehicle from a private owner and the first thing i wanted to do was the common oil change and radiator flush, after these services were performed the vehicle was started and driven to the nearest gas station for a fill up when it was noticed overheating. once taken back to the garage it was found that oil was in the radiator and we quickly emptied and changed the oil filter. the car once again was started and the same thing, overheated and oil in the radiator. mind you the oil was fine nice clean oil but oil in the radiator so we left it alone for a while . recently weve attempted to start the vehicle and noticed after the 1st couple attempts of starting it we found water in the oil but the radiator was clean , although no over heating just water in the oil . how can i get this done without costing an arm and left leg
THE AC SYSTEM IS FULLY CHARGED HEAD PRESSURE IS FINE, CHECKED THE AC CLUTCH BY MANUALLY TRIGERRING CAN HEAR IT PUUL IN, THE AC CLIMATE SYSTEM SEEMS TO BE FINE IN POSITION 2 WITH KEYSWITCH, BUT WHEN KEY IS TURNED TO START AC STOPS AN DOESN'T WORK .....
MY HARD TOP IS LOCKED AT THE WINDSHIELD PLEASE HELP ME REMOVE IT. THE BACK COMES OUT OF THE LATCHES BUT THE FRONT DOES NOT BUDGE.
