I've recently had an issue with my afr's being way off. At idle it fluctuates from 10-17afr and averaging in the 15 zone. While cruising I can feel the car going lean and rich while afr's will drop to 10 and go as high as 17.
A boost leak test has been done.
There are no vacuum leaks.
02 sensor has been replaced.
EGR has been tested and cleaned.
Fuel injectors have been replaced with new ones as well as gaskets/o-rings.
New intake gasket and manifold gasket.


The only trouble codes I'm getting are for bank 1 too rich and EGR insufficient.
So I've had my car about 6 months. 3 months ago I had gotten new plugs, those "wires" for the plugs (I want to call them 'cables' but are not sure that is correct and do not want to mislead you, thinking I'm referring to some other part) and an oil change. Car was very peppy and fun to drive after that. But about 2 weeks ago, I noticed my acceleration was kind of sluggish and it felt like my rpms would run higher before switching gears. I checked trans fluid and added some (probably should have just drained and started fresh, but did not have the time or resources at the time) which seemed to temporarily help the issue. I noticed that it was only happening after work when my car had been sitting in the sun all day or at night when I had been driving it a bit. But in the morning to go to work when it had been sitting and cooled, it ran peppy again. But it struggles up hill, and even trying to accelerate further it would lose speed uphill. I do also notice that once it gets into 3rd gear, it seems to shift normally. I enjoy learning about my car and doing small repairs myself, I actually "fixed" my MAP sensor when the garage told me it needed replaced (CEL was on for months) when in fact it was a disconnected vacuum hose! So i really hope this is something I am capable of remedying on my own. I am in no way a mechanic and looking up similar problems on the internet has left me confused because I don't understand much car lingo but I am very eager to learn and fix this problem. I was driving on the highway and my tire blew out and now my car won't start!!! The radio lights and every work but won't turn on I have a full tank of gas too.
The parking lights on one side do not work and it is not the bulb the front turn signals don't work and the dash lights get lower and darker intermittently
Within the last 4 years about 5 times I've had the O/D (transmission) light come on while driving and the car wouldn't get out of second gear. NO check engine light. Pulled over, shut if off restarted - light goes out, transmission works. Any idea what I should be looking at to fix this? Local mechanic and transmission shop are clueless.
It hesitates when I accelerate from a stop, I looked it up, but other scenarios I read about include the check engine light coming on, but mine has not come on yet, any ideas?
put a new starter in and it still wont start doing the same exact thing as before the new starter. all lights come on, when you turn the key it clicks one time but wont turn over. jumping it doesnt work either. popped the clutch and its sputtering and doesnt want to stay running, white fumes coming out the muffler which smells horrible and the engine is shaking. none of this was happening before the "starter went bad" now im being told my computer went bad. could that be possible?

I could not get the car to start at all and it hasn't started since. occasionally when I try to start it the car sputters up about 100-200 rpm then does nothing. Sometimes when cranking the car will backfire through the air box causing it to blow open. I ran the codes for the engine light that came on when the problems occurred and I got a code for a camshaft sensor and the egr system. In an attempt to repair I have replaced the: camshaft position sensor, mass airflow sensor, ignition coils (no difference whatsoever) tested the crank sensor (good) and checked the fuel pressure (over 30 psi with great flow). When I crank the car I know its getting fuel. Any suggestions or ideas whats wrong?

I got my mazda in February. The overdrive light has been flashing since I got it, and hasn't worked. My check engine light came on about two weeks later. Now my car is shaking at stop and take off until around 20 mph, and missing a little. My check engine light is now flashing constantly. My car has always had trouble getting up to speed, but now I can floor it up a hill and I get 30 mph at best. I'm 19 years old, and I know nothing about cars! Help me out!!
I had the rotors replaced, and am wondering what else should be given my attention. The check engine light came on with a code reading P0455 - Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected (Large Leak) Whats the worst I can expect? thank you
