Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) bulb not working

(1999 Mercedes-Benz CLK320)
My car did not pass inspection due to MIL bulb not working. It does not come on before I start engine. Is this a simple fuse or bulb repair?

MIL is controlled by the PCM. It could simply be a fues or bulb burned out , however it may also be a wiring problem in the circuit or a PCM fault also. Either have the proper cicuit info available for testing (may include 'pin' tests on PCM) or I'd recommend a dealer or specialist M-B shop., just in case it's something wierd , but more likely known to a mercedes tech.
