Low idling, stops sometimes when I start the car

(1999 Honda Accord)
in Fresno, CA on July 22, 2009
Recently my 1999 Honda Accord EX has been doing something periodically. I will start the car and it immediatley turns off, I start again and turns off. I do this about 2 to 4 times and then if finally stays on. I know it's not the starter or battery. What do you think the problem is? No check engine lite comes on. Other than that, it runs great.

I have seen the ignition switch electrical portion give a lot of problems on this year of Honda. Honda had a recall on these, call the dealer see if yours was ever replaced.
White wire at the ignition switch is battery power at all times, the black yellow wire must be live when the ignition key is in the run position after the car stalls or the switch is defective. If the switch was never replaced the dealer should do it for free. Call Honda North America Customer Service if you get no satisfaction.
