Lighter socket

Due to having so much electrical problems. I'd like to get my GPS plugged into my lighter and working. A repair shop said it will cost me $100.00!!! There must be a cheaper way of replacing this. Need help....

It's probably the going rate, the lighter will be about $15 to $20 and the labor and taxes after that would be $80 you can only try to get quotes from different repair shops or try doing it yourself.
