Q: leaks and transmission shift on 2006 Mercedes-Benz ML350 4MATIC

Rookie cbe0621eac06868b3efe0d8d1d3611e23c60d3114864ea2ec19a68cfbd3eebab
Hello,

My car is having trouble shifting down from 2nd to 1st gear. Now it was low on steering fluid twice due to below freex=zing temp. I filled it back up and now there is a slow greenish fluid leak. Im afraid to drive it! Help please.

sounds like you may have two different issues. on the trans issue, you can't check the fluid level because there is no dipstick. trans service is due every 39000
miles with new fluid, pan gasket and filter. suggest a good local MB shop and they will usually have the correct
fluid for this vehicle. same with the p/s fluid; it is MB gear oil and not regular p/s fluid that the Parts Goober store sells. they can identify your p/s leak.
