They just seem to care. They take a real personal side into repairing your car. They will tell you what they find and let you make decisions on what you want to repair. They make you feel like a person- not just someone who's dropping off a car. They understand that it is expensive to repair cars and they understand how important it is to get your car repaired correctly and get it back.
I like that they provide you with a loaner car if you need it. They recently have started staying open on Saturday mornings which I really appreciate because when it was just Monday through Friday, for those of who work, it was really difficult to be able to either drop the car off or pick it up during the weekdays so I really, really appreciate the extra Saturday hours. They have been my mechanic since 1994.
I was really pleased with the whole thing- the appearance, the location, the courtesy, the convenience, the treatment, the comfort of waiting room, the coffee and water and everything about it! There was a television there and magazines to read. It was very nice. There was a very nice, clean attractive restroom also.
I guess the only thing I would like to see is any way to confirm what the diagnosis was based on the diagnosis that they did that would show that the repair needed was in fact the one needed by the diagnosis- to confirm what the diagnosis was and that the repair was indeed what needed to be done to take care of the diagnosis. In other words to make sure that it's not some uneeded repair because there is no way to know that. They call you and they tell you "Hey, you need this and this" and if you're not there, you don't see the codes. You just assume that they're telling the truth, but who knows.
What a find. I am newly moved to OC and used this site to read reviews of service shops. Trusted Repairpal reviews as authentic.
Not only did owner Mike return my after-hours call on the weekend to offer me a Monday morning appt, when I arrived he knew my name and so did Marissa, their friendly admin.
Honest. Competent. Easy to work with. This is anyone's "Go to" for an ease of doing business auto repair shop. RRen went out of his way to find a cheaper gas cap, I so appreciated. They have a financial awareness/sensitivity to today's economy and work with you to avoid unnecessary costs/repairs
PS very comfy waiting room if you don't take them up on a ride to work or loaner car.

Sergio and Raul greeted me and made me feel welcomed. I told them I was driving to Las Vegas that weekend to watch my son in a basketball tournament. I just wanted everything looked over on my GMC Burb. They found that my AC had a leak. I didn't think my AC was working that well. No AC in Vegas in July? Not good. Raul advised me that my tires had some cracks and even though there was tread it could be a problem. He made it my decision and did not pressure me into new tires. I did get new tires and as I was driving by all of the chunks of other people's tires on I15 I drove with confidence. It seemed small at the time but Raul also said the driver's side wiper blade was worn. I had it fixed even though it was July in drought stricken California. I hit a downpour thunderstorm at Primm, NV. I probably would have had to wait it out if my wiper blades had not been replaced. I was cool as my AC worked great in the 110 degree temperature and I drove with confidence to and back home from Vegas. This was not my first visit to Laguna Niguel Auto Center. I am a customer of 10 years. From Day 1 they have treated me with great respect and honesty. I have trusted them with all of my cars, Dodge, Honda, Burb, Jetta, and Passat. The Honda went 130,000 miles before we gave it to our nephew. My wife drives the Jetta with over 125,000 miles. The Burb has 136,000 mile and the Passat only 25,000. Great service, great care, great guys. I do not know much about cars but I do know a lot about customer service and being a satisfied customer. I have only taken my cars to Laguna Niguel Auto Center since I found them 10 years ago except for the dealer warranty and recall notices.
