Jerking slipping

there is a jerking when start to drive when i get on freeway change to overdrive car runs fine as i get off freeway and change to drive car jerks also does it while slowing

It could be a worn engine mount or a transmission problem but is hard to give an opinion with out being able to drive the car and experience the problem first hand. A worn engine mount could allow excess engine movement as the car is moved away from stop and could jerk as load is taken off the engine when the accelerator pedal is released.
Transmission problems would be more serious, check the fluid level and or have the transmission checked out.
