Jeep Grand Cherokee Recall 98V276000

Chrysler Recalls 1999 Grand Cherokees Due to Defective Seat Belts

Recall Details

Chrysler has recalled 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokees because the rear outboard seat belt retractor spring can disengage from the rewind mechanism. This disables the retractor function and prevents the belt from fitting snugly around the occupant. In the event of a crash, the occupant may not be properly restrained, which increases the risk of injury. Dealers will replace the retractors.
