On October 31, 2006, Jaguar recalled 6,199 Jaguar XJR. Some passenger vehicles may have fuel tanks in which the fuel delivery module (fdm), jet pump module (jpm, and/or cluster valve (cv) seals are not properly retained in the fuel tank. this may result in illumination of the malfunction indicator lamp (mil), or a fuel odor.

Some vehicles may have loose fuel tank components causing the MIL light to come on. There may also be some fume leakage causing a potential fire hazard. 

Jaguar will contact owners of affected vehicles beginning October 31, 2006. If you have not been contacted, smell fuel and feel your car should fall under this recall. Call your local dealership. When doing so, it is helpful to have your VIN Vehicle Identification Number ready.
