IT'S ACTING POSSESSED

(2002 Ford F-150)
My truck was parked and started to act as though it was trying to start on its own. When I went out, I opened the door and the lights on the compass and radio were lit, without the key in the ignition. When I started it, there was a strange noise coming from the engine. Has anyone ever heard of something like this happening?

Sounds like you have a defective ignition switch. If the lights and compass and radio were still on, that means that some of the contacts in the ignition switch are not shutting off. The noise from the engine may be the starter being energized when you are no longer in the start position on the switch. This is not an unheard of problem.
