Is there an ignition shut off for low oil condition?

(1996 Toyota Camry)

Car shut down while driving just like turning the key off. Now there is no spark.

Best guess= crank sensor or timing belt. Other possibilities! Crank sensors give more trouble than the dist.
That is the first thing to check then the timing belt!!!
