Is there a way to disconnect the front axles from the diff and still drive

(1998 Ford Expedition)

front diff needs to be rebuilt want to disconnect front diff and still drive the truck using the rear wheel since its wheel rear driven is it possible?

No....axles have to be in place for hub retension!!! Them big axle nuts have to be on there to keep the wheel/hub from comming off, so no you cant drive it with axles removed.....not very far anyway!
