Is there a filter on a 1999s-10 heater core that I can change to keep me from having to replace the whole heater core

There is NO filter that can be changed!!... Heater core can either be bypassed or replaced!!!

Hmmm.....I have a 2002 Chevy S-10 so, tell what the issue is with the heater core? Is it leaking or are you just not getting hot air blowing in? Because if the issue is no hot air, I know a quick, easy and inexpensive way to have it working like brand new.

Read other post.. Fogging up the windshield ... Only quick fix there is by-pass!

Can blame good ol GM Dex-Cool for that.. Plus never changing it... I drained/flushed all that s--t out of mine and put in the real stuff soon as warranty was up!

I just had to 'backflush' the heater core to get the deposits out. Now I have heat again in the truck (good quality Dex-Cool) lol!
