Q: Is the rubber hoses on the transmission coolant line standard equipment? on 1996 Jeep Cherokee

Are jeep ha rubber hoses on both coolant line by the radiator. Is that standard equipment ? Why would it all of a sudden blow one of the off?

Some do have rubber flex hoses attached to the metal lines. These usually have factory 'crimped' clamps holding them on as opposed to the normal looking spiral hose clamps you see in the parts store. Sometimes these rubber hoses are add-on equipment and not very well installed, so yes it's fairly common for one of them to "blow off" as you said...Same amount of pressure on both hoses!

some of those are covered by dealer but not sure what years.maybe worth a call. if they are standard equip from jeep
