Is oil in the collant reservoir bad

there is oil in the coolant reservoir and im buyiny this car for 500 and want to know should i even buy the car

Do not buy unless you are willing to pay for the cost of a new head gasket or intake manifold repair. The cost is generally over 1k to fix.

The problem is the oil cooler/heat exchanger. it is located under the intake manifold and takes 2-3 hours to replace. new the part is $500+. then flush out cooling system. salvage yards have good used cooler for 100-150. if your pretty mechanical, you can change it out in less than a days time.
