Rookie cbe0621eac06868b3efe0d8d1d3611e23c60d3114864ea2ec19a68cfbd3eebab
My tach no longer works and getting false overheating. Needle pegs and engine runs as normal with fans on. Coolent is full and no leaks. 37000 miles. My question is,before I bring to dealer, is this covered by GM? I have read online of other cases like this.Seems to common.

This is very common on the 03-06 GMs. The cause is the motors behind the gauges are failing, they all go out eventually. You can get it repaired here - www.drspeedometer.com and there's a DIY guide here - www.howtorepairmyinstrumentcluster.com
