Inigniton switch

(1990 Ford F-150)

I have no power in the cab but if i cross over the starter sylnoid i have power in the cab and the truck will start when i let off of it i lose all power

Sounds like an ignition switch issue -- the electrical one in the steering columnn (not the key cylinder itself). Often times these melted and created problems. Check there first.

I had the same issue and a new ignition switch fixed it.
