Information on heater core replacement procedure

How much of the dash has to be removed to replace this heater core,I am looking for information on just this model truck

After removing the instrument panel storage box, center lower air duct, blower motor, windsheild hinge pillar trim pads, lowering/or completely removing the steering column, only then can the entire instrument carrier panel be taken loose and rotated down and back to access the heater core. This is a big job, not one I would recommend doing in the driveway.

How much $ are we talking? It is a 1994 1/2ton GMC worth $5K on a good day!
