I replaced oil pan gasket but it is still leaking in the rear of the pan

Maybe the rear mail 'crankshaft' oil seal is what's leaking instead of oil pan gasket... I've seen seasoned mechanics get fooled on this one!! .. Just saying.... Another thing > IF it's the 4.3L engine, oil pressure sending unit can leak oil and it will run down the back side of the block and drip right off the rear of the oil pan ... You have GOT to pinpoint the source ANY leak BEFORE attempting to stop it!!! .. Otherwise it's like target practicing without aiming, hit or miss & MOST of the time you MISS! .. Good luck.
