on 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

the lite on the transfer case selector switch also on the dash no longer comes on. it does flash when turning the key to start the truck, but it remains in two wheel drive. Ive changed the selector switch, encoder and front actuator still no change. inspected wiring harnesses for damage fuses and relays. don't have a scanner to pull codes. can changing the fluids make a diff.

We live in a small village in Bristal Bay Alaska, there are no service centers here, any other Ideas, I found the Transfer case control modual and a service manual with wire diagram. I do plan to procure a scanner as I can afford one. Any other Ideas thank you
CAN YOU HEAR MOTOR ON TRANSFER CASE DOING ANYTHING WHEN SLECTOR SWITCH CHANGED? (NEED 2 PEOPLE)
IF NOT LIGHTLY TAP ON MOTOR WITH "SMALL" HAMMER TO SEE IF IT IS JUST STUCK. HOWEVER SCANNER WILL BE
A BUNCH OF HELP! I THINK IT ALSO HAS A FOUR WHEEL ACTUATOR SWITCH ON TRANSFER CASE.
GET A SCANNER.
thanks for the reply, no tried both encoders with someone pressing the buttons, still nothing.but as i stated before, on the selector switch NO lites come on when the key is turned on. they only flash when the key is turned on once the truck is started the lights still do'nt come on. but I am wondering if I am to have voltage with the key on @ the BRN wire from fuse block to Aux. battery relay to front actuator. I want to track down voltage and grounds to see if there's something there
Change the transfer case control module. It's located on the drivers side under the dash. Some posts say it's hard to get to. The first time I changed it took about 3 minutes. The lights for the selector switch will then be on.
