Q: I need to add transmission fluid, where is it that I do this, exactly. on 2003 Lincoln Aviator

I have looked and can't find where to add the transmission fluid. Please help! I need to add transmission fluid, where is it that I do this, exactly.

The transmission is filled through the drain plug. The drain plug is two parts, and the inner is a plub. The outer has a 'tube' into the pan. Fill through the inner with the plug removed. Once it starts spilling out stop filling and insert the plug.
sounds like you might have a sealed transmission and u would need a trans flush machine to add fluid
the 2003 Aviator has a sealed transmission, I had a flush at 150k, but it really has not changed anything. Transmission shifts hard at 2nd and 3rd gear sometimes.
