I have to put clutch pedals all the way to floor to start

Just bought lx model. five speed new clutch. when i go to start it i have to put clutch pedal all the way to floor. can i adjust this some how?

No, the starter is actuated by a safety feature.

Actually, there is some adjustment. the switch body is threaded and can be moved
in slightly.Also, there is a rubber actuator mounted on the petal, mine broke off .Check
this.

I adjusted the switch, but eventually found a broken weld that holds the bracket for the clutch pedal. The switch wouldn't engage. I replaced the bracket. It is a big job, but with patience and a free weekend you can do it. I am 6'3" so it was more of a physical issue getting under the dash.
