It has a new battery. It just started doing this. I can push start it in the morning and once it warms up I can use the key to start it. Why is this?

Do you mean when you try to start the car it won't crank? If so, when car is cold you need to take a test light and put it on the small wire going to the starter. when you turn the ignition switch to the crank positon the test light should light up. If it doesn't you have a problem with the ignition switch or clutch switch. If it does then you have a problem with the starter. You most likely have a bad ignition switch.
