I have the encoder problem. It caused a loud bang in front and something is wrong

(2004 Chevrolet Avalanche 1500)
in Lake in the Hills, IL on November 08, 2012
The lights used to be different everytime i started the truck. after backing out of the driveway, i put it in drive and when i took off it made a loud bang in the front axle/transfer case area. Now i have a banging noise sometimes when i turn or am on a tilted road. Ive heard to check the cross member but i think this is bigger than that.
