At 25,000 miles the factory original brakes squeaked. The front disc pads and rear brake shoes were both replaced at that time with the medium grade Wearever brand brake pads and shoes from Advance Auto Parts. This did not eliminate the noise. The front brake pads were removed and the brake pad noise reducing grease was applied with little success. Most recently after discussions with the manager of the local Auto Parts store the brake pads and shoes along with a new spring kit for the brake shoes were replaced with the Wearever brand premium ceramic brake pads and shoes. This did not eliminate the very annoying and embarrassing brake noise. The vehicle currently has 49,700.
