I have changed the brake pads and the rotor on the driver side

(2000 Honda Odyssey)

they still grinds when i go to stop

The caliper may be faulty. The cylinder may have corroded to where it won't function properly and release anymore. Also, check your slider pins to make sure movement of pins is smooth and free. Lubricate these if needed. The grinding noise is possibly because one of these issues is keeping the pads in constant contact with the rotor which will wear them out really fast if not corrected.
