I have a Pontiac G6 year 2006 key stuck in ignition when got home

my key worked fine all day until a got home I went to remove my key and it was stuck in ignition was able to turn on and off car drive it but unable to remove key and when I was able to move it it would only move about a 1/4" and no the steering wheel is not in any locked position. How can I fix this if I can and if not what should it run to get it repaired?

you may need a new key and tumbler,call a mobile locksmith as to save time and money

Thank you for your help and advice went back out to car one more time after asking for help and after trying again and again a few more times before giving up I was able to get it out had no more problems since. :)
