I have a 98 Lincoln town car and the brake light switch under the pedal keepmelting

Replace the switch AND the wire connector!.... Poor connection creates high resistance which produces HEAT!... Connector should be avail at NAPA.

Thanks it worked I had already changed the sensor 3 Times but not the connectors its working just fine
