I have a 90 xlt lariat with a 5.0 motor I crunk it up it ran 30 seconds an it turned off won't crank back up I replaced dis.cap rotor button ignition coil am control module but still no spark

Possible distributor stator (pick up assem) .. Check to see if it's black in color and cracked or 'mushy' when probed with screwdriver .. Also possible ignition 'switch' separation, open circuit to ignition coil or coil has failed... Do you know where the *spout connector* is for setting ignition timing?

No sir I'm mechanical stupid I change small stuff like what I replaced in this case but that's bout it I kinda understand what u explained but I think ima just cut my losses an have it towed to the Ford dealership

Thanks for the info sir I do know to change the distributor so ill change if it still doesn't start it's going to the shop since it's a nice truck an my dad left it to me thanks for all your help
