Q: i have a 1996 corolla with a 1.6l the motor and auto tranny need replaced.i also on 1996 Toyota Corolla

have a 1996 corolla that is wrecked but the 1.8l motor and auto tranny are good. is it possible to pull the 1.6l motor and auto tranny out and slide the 1.8l motor and auto tranny in and expect to roll or will there be issues with ecu- drive shafts- wiring- or any other items i'll have to switch over from the 1.8l corolla to the 1.6l

First of all Vehilces are certified for the road with equipment they came with! Anything is possible if you have time and patiences there would be a lot of work to make the mechanical work but also the computor system I can't believe it would be worth the time, Also you may have to get it certified for the road.
