Does it sound like your in reverse in a manual trans. car? IF so , have the axle seals checked for active leaks (not long term seepage) . IF no serious leaks , then either replace the trans , or keep driving and turn up the radio. Final drive gears worn ,more annoying than anything. How many miles on it? Original trans?

The odyssey has 115k, has been whining since I purchased it used about 2007. The radio was my first fix and I changed the tranny fluid. It runs great(changed the belt at 95k), it's my people hauler and work horse. There are no leaks from the tranny, or the axle's neither have been replaced. I have a brand new set of axle's sitting in the wings because I heard some clunking two yrs ago. By far the best vehicle I've has and I've owned 30 plus cars. Thanks for your input.
