I bought a new battery and its draining power from some where

I bought a new battery from sears and it is draining power whwn not driving it

The correct way to check for a draw is to connect a dvom between the negative batt. terminal and the neg. cable with the cable disconnected.You will then have to wait about 45 minutes for the modules to go to sleep,then you will read the true draw which should be less than half an amp.What I find most often is the A/C relay faulty,sometimes when you tap on it you can see the A/C clutch moving in and out or you dvom reading will jump.
