There are a lot of Porsche specific forums and the owners that are on these Porsche forums pretty savvy people.
The only thing that comes to mind are "drive cycles" referring to criteria that the computer in your car needs to see met before it allows the car to pass a state smog test. The computer runs tests each time you run the car and drive it some tests take a few weeks to do if the battery has been disconnected or the codes erased using a scan tool.
