Hyundai motor america (hyundai) is recalling certain 2011-2014 sonata and 2011-2015 sonata hybrid vehicles. in the affected vehicles, the seat belt linkages for both front seat belts may detach from the seat belt anchor pretensioners.

The front seat belts could detach from their anchor pretensioners, resulting in occupants not being properly secured and protected in an accident.

Recall repairs on your Hyundai must be performed by a Hyundai dealership. Hyundai will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in April, 2017. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Hyundai dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle.
