On December 30, 2016, Hyundai recalled 110 Hyundai Sonata. Hyundai motor company (hyundai) is recalling certain model year 2017 hyundai elantra vehicles manufactured april 15, 2016, to september 13, 2016, and sonata vehicles manufactured may 27, 2016 to september 16, 2016. in these vehicles, the end seal for the driver's frontal air bag inflator may not have been properly installed, possibly resulting in reduced inflation of the frontal air bag in the event of a crash.

2017 Hyundai Sonata Recall Details

The driver's frontal air bag assembly may have an inflator that was not properly installed. This could result in insufficient inflation of the driver's frontal air bag in the event of an accident, resulting in increased risk of injury.

Recall repairs on your Hyundai must be performed by a Hyundai dealership. Hyundai will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in February, 2017. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Hyundai dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with.
