How to stop car door gaskets and other gaskets from bleeding onto paint job.

(2018 Hyundai Elantra)
Everywhere there is a black gasket when it gets wet from rain or dew the black part of the gasket makes black streaks on the paint job. How do I stop that. Dealer refuses to fix even though the car has less than 10,000 miles on it and is under warranty.

A knowledgeable automobile detailing shop / technician is likely your best bet for proper cleaning and re-conditioning of the rubber moldings about the vehicle.

Habitual use of improper cleaning / conditioning products and procedures will certainly cause the moldings to bleed onto painted surfaces - - even on a relatively new vehicle..

Furthermore each time the vehicle is cleaned with old fashion soap and water - the rubber door molding should be included and allowed to dry naturally without application of any other products thereafter..

Lastly - the immediate environment in which the vehicle lives will have some affects as well ..

I can’t imagine why your vehicle would be uniquely related to any of these concerns.

Good luck!

That is odd. Does the black streak come off with cleaning? I don't know why the black rubber would transfer onto paint. It's an oddity for sure.
