How to reset the brake pad warning indicator light?

(1992 BMW 325i)

My brake pad warnind indicator lamp came on. I replaced the pads and rotors as well. How do you reset the warning indicator light. Does it automatically reset itself after so many miles?

I think those brake pads have a sensor that you take off "the old pads" and transfer to the "new pads". If the light is staying on the pad sensor is bad.

Thanks for the information, actually there was a sensor on the front driver side pads which was transferred to the new pads. Guess I need to replace the sensor because the light is still on.
Appreciate your answer and time, very helpful!!!
