I need top remove the top steering column trim piece to remove the air bag. The key lock assembly prevents removal of the trim piece.

The key is needed to be in and in a certain position (Run or On) and a pin pushed in to allow the release of the ignition key lock switch assembly to slide out. Any mechanics book for the vehicle, or the internet, or even the instructions that come with a replacement ignition switch will bail you out; but the air-bag won't just slip out after that
