How to hookup starter wires

Confused on starter wires hookup.it does not seem right

What seems to make the problem better or worse? Need to know which wires go where on the starter solenoid

It is idiot proof - UNLESS some-one has changed the wiring configuration - some-how [[?]]
The BIG battery cable goes on the BIG starter terminal.
The little wire simply plugs onto the other starter terminal.
Make certain the NEGATIVE battery cable is removed from the battery !
