my car idel real high and when in park it even higher

Possible worn out throttle body. I experienced similar symtoms, turned out to be my throttle body accellerator shaft port was worn out and that the throttle position sensor(TPS) would not set back to the specified idle angle. I had the shaft ports welded closed and redrilled to specs an havn't had the problem reocurr.

Sounds like a sticking idle control valve or a vacuum leak.

one thing you can check is your tps senser. if your check engine light is on you can go autozone,pepboys,advance auto parts.someplace like that
