What symptoms? Building system pressure before warmed up?...Rapidly overheating? Top hose stays cold while it boils over?

van sat for 8 years. cleaned gas tank and replaced fuel pump. replaced head gasket drivers side. replaced thermostat. temp gauge pegs out hot after 3 miles. outdoor temp is 100F here in Vegas. water boils into reservoir. water in top hose is boiling. is there some way to test if water pump is working or if radiator is plugged up?

After it's warmed up a little , turn it off and to the best of ability feel as many places on the radiator as you can , especially the lower portion. If you have cold spots on bottom , i'd suspect it's sludged up. As for the water pump....well , after sitting 8 years , I wouldn't even think of not replacing it , my guess with that is that the impeller blades have all but rotted away by now.
